Credit Card Dispute Letter Template (Free)

Most issuers let you dispute online, but a clear written summary with dates and evidence makes the case easy to approve. Paste this into the dispute form or send it as a letter.

What to attach

• Statement showing the charge
• Your cancellation confirmation, or screenshots of your attempt
• Your written refund request to the merchant and their reply (or silence)
• Terms or receipt showing what you were promised

Timing

Dispute as soon as you see the charge. For US credit cards, written billing-error disputes are generally due within 60 days of the statement that first showed the charge. Debit cards and PayPal have their own, often shorter, windows. Check yours.
